Dr Martin Young is one of the ‘new breed’ of ENT surgeons who realised 15 years ago that the niche ‘chisel method’ of treating surfer’s ear was substantially better for both surgeon and patient.

Martin qualified in 1999 as an ENT, and runs his ‘surfer’s ear’ practice between the two paradises of Knysna and Cape Town.

​

Outside medicine, he is a guitarist singer/songwriter, avid fly fisherman, writer, social activist, motorcyclist and dabbles in too many other things to mention.
